I was born in San Jose and have lived here most of my life. I studied Psychology and Education at UC Santa Cruz. After returning to San Jose I worked for a while in the private sector, and then as a substitute teacher where I filled many different educational positions at different schools. These varied experiences taught me the power of patience, flexibility, and kindness. I found the role of paraeducator to be one that really plays to my strengths as a person, and in 2020 I was able to take the opportunity to become a permanent part of the Santee family. I'm very happy and honored to have a place where I can make a difference by supporting our students. I believe early childhood education is so critical for each of us to thrive as individuals and as a society.
