Healthy School Meals Matter: Research indicates that when students lack proper nutrition they have trouble focusing in school. Students who eat nutritious meals every day and lead active lifestyles tend to excel. Franklin-McKinley School District makes a nourishing breakfast and lunch available to all students, based on California Department of Education nutrition guidelines.
An application for the free or reduced price lunch program is necessary each school year. Students must pay full price for their meals until the application has been approved for free or reduced price lunch (regular lunch cost: $2.85 /reduced pricing: $0.40). It is extremely important that each family complete an application even if you think you may not qualify. Apply for free and reduced meals and make payments at: http://family.titank12.com
