I was born and raised in the lovely but scorchingly hot desert of Arizona. I studied art history and art in college, and later decided to become a teacher like my mom. I earned a master's degree in education from Arizona State University and have been teaching elementary school since 2007.
My husband, Jeff, and I moved from Arizona to San Jose in 2016. Our free time is spent exploring the Bay Area by hiking, biking, running, and sight-seeing. It is a wonderland rich in diversity and culture, and we enjoy the adventure of living here each day.
Santee is a special school where I am privileged to teach such kind and energetic students who love to learn. As they grow academically, emotionally, and socially, I grow as a teacher and as a human being. We are in this together and we strive to make each day a success!
