I was born and raised in New York City in the borough of Queens. Some of my favorite things about NYC are: the museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Natural History, seeing Broadway plays, and spending time in Central Park. Growing up, surrounded by art, music, theatre, and great literature helped shape me into the person I am today. I strongly believe in the arts as a force of good in the world.
After being in and out of school for a long time, I majored in English Literature from Hunter College in NYC, and following my move to California, I received my Master’s in Early Childhood Special Education from Santa Clara University.
I am deeply passionate about developmentally appropriate practice and Special Education has taught me a lot about what are best practices in education for ALL students. I love working with young children and their families. It brings me a tremendous amount of joy.
