I have been part of the Santee community since 1999. I served as a teacher for 14 years and currently serve as principal. I am committed to ensuring that every child that walks through our doors fulfills his or her potential, leading to the development of a strong society.
When I was 8 years old, my family and I immigrated to California from Mexico to work in the fields picking fruits and vegetables. I quickly learned that I wanted a different path. My journey speaks to the power of education.
I received my B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from San Jose State University. As a first-generation college graduate, education changed my life and that of my family. When not working, I love to spend time with my family and friends exploring the beauty of the Bay Area.
