I was born in Jalisco, Mexico and immigrated to the United States when I was three years old. I have received all of my education in San Jose and have a bachelor's degree from San Jose State University. I have worked at Santee since 2013 and can honestly say that the most rewarding part of my job is creating a bond with my students. Experiencing the progress they make academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the school year is an amazing thing to witness.
“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
