About Me

I am happy to make the Full Circle of Teaching/Life at Santee. I first started teaching full-time at FMSD in school year 1980-1981 as a 3rd grade teacher. I graduated from SFCC with an AAS in physical education. I received a diploma from Chien T’an University in the Republic of China, a double major at SJSU for Liberal Studies and PE with Minors in Music and Asian Languages/Culture (TESOL emphasis). I was in the last graduating class of the ECE Program (Multiple Subject). I've also received an MSE from USF in Curriculum and Instruction with an SDC Credential, Admin from National University, and Ed.D. Doctorate from USF in Second Language Acquisition (ESL) with BCCs in Vietnamese (2) and Spanish (1). My father served in the Naval Reserves in WWII and in the Army during the Korean War stationed overseas. My mother worked at the Presidio Army Base in SF during the Korean War and later became a 2nd grade teacher.
