CORAL

CORAL Extended Learning is an after-school program offered at Santee. Our mission is to improve our students' academic achievement through literacy, homework support, and enrichment activities. We offer art, science, dance, engineering, and math (STEM) activities. CORAL's goal is to improve the literacy of every student by implementing best practices in after school support. Currently at Santee, the CORAL Program serves grades K - 3rd.

Days and Times of Operation:
 
Kindergarten
Monday through Friday: 2:00 - 5:00 pm
Thursday (Early Release Day): 1:00 - 5:00 pm
 
First through Third Grade
Monday through Friday: 3:00 - 6:00 pm
Thursday (Early Release Day): 1:00 - 6:00 pm

How to Apply:

Please pick up an application in the CORAL Office (Resource A). Once completed, return to the CORAL office or the school's front office.

Site Manager: Brenda Flores - Mrs. Brenda graduated from San Jose State University and has worked with CORAL since 2014. She loves working with students and their families. Her goal is to support and improve academic goals for every student in the CORAL program. In her free time, she likes to hike, binge on Netflix, and read. 

Kinder Instructor: Cindy Sanchez

First Grade: Margarita Soria - Ms. Margarita is a student at San Francisco State University majoring in Social Studies. Her passion is reading and music. She is determined and motivated to help improve her students' reading levels.

Second Grade: Jacquelyn Fortuna - Ms. Jacquelyn is a student at Evergreen Valley College majoring in accounting. Jacquelyn loves to cook and travel the world. With her determination, she strives to see her students succeed in every area. Her knowledge reflects on her students in a positive way. Overall, she is a great role model.

Third Grade: Veronica Lechuga - Ms. Veronica is a student at Mission College majoring in art and photography. Her goal is to become a college professor. She runs the science club for CORAL and enjoys experimenting with her students. She also loves being able to motivate her students in a positive way. Her passion is travel, photography, and art.
