Hello all, I was born in Los Gatos, California but moved to San Jose when I began kindergarten. Ever since then I have been a part of the San Jose community. I have an older sister and a younger brother, which makes me the middle child. Both of my parents are from Mexico and raised us valuing the importance of being bilingual. I have been working for FMSD since 2016. I started out substituting as an aide for various schools in the district and now work as a permanent aide for the R.S.P. program at Santee.

 

I am currently pursuing my teaching credential in Special Education. One of the great things about working at Santee and continuing my education is that I am able to apply what I learn on a daily basis. I make it clear with our students that I still continue to take college courses in hopes to motivate them to pursue a college education as well. I am deeply convinced that building an authentic positive connection with students is important in order to engage the students in their learning at an optimal level.
