Thanks for visiting my page! I am excited to be a part of the Santee family and enjoy working with the community here. One of the reasons I became a teacher is because I believe that education is the most effective method for the progress of my people. Teaching allows me to help empower underrepresented students to take charge of their lives and appreciate the strengths in their diversity. I make learning relevant and provide my students with opportunities to challenge their beliefs and thinking.
I was three-years-old when my family came to the US. My parents didn’t speak any English and had no money, but they held onto the belief that my siblings and I would have a better chance in life here. Since then, I have worked hard to earn my B.S. in Interior Design from SFSU in 2008 and an M.A. in Education from SJSU in 2016. Teaching is my passion; I have been teaching since 2015 and look forward to many more years!
