About Me

My name is Ms. Khosa (Aman Khosa). I am thrilled to be a part of the Santee family and look forward to a lot of fun, learning, and adventure. My goal as a teacher and a parent is always to make our classroom safe, positive, and productive. Our classroom is a safe zone that allows us to make mistakes, share our experiences as a learner, learn from them and grow.

I have been teaching since 2010. I have a Master's degree in English Literature and Linguistics and a diploma in Computer Languages and Web Design. I went to California State University, Monterey Bay, and the University of California, San Diego for teacher credentials. With FMSD, I got an opportunity to go to Yale University and collaborate with other teachers around the country and the Yale faculty to strengthen the teaching in the classroom further.

Teaching is my passion and I believe that everyone has the ability to do their best and grow. This is why I hold all my students to high expectations. As a teacher, I want to inspire my students to embrace knowledge and achieve self-confidence through learning. Even more than before, the world is becoming our classroom. I want to guide my students to apply critical thinking to figure out the "hows” and “whys" of a concept so that they are ready to take on real-life challenges in their pursuit as independent and lifelong learners.

Besides teaching, I am passionate about traveling and learning about different cultures, their history, traditions, languages, and food! I was born in the USA, though I grew up in India in a  multicultural and ethnically diverse environment, which instilled in me the love and importance of education and values like respect, kindness, empathy, and being an upstander, and I share that wisdom with my students and children.
