My name is Joyce Knezevich and I am so excited to be a part of the Santee community. I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania, U.S.A. After school, I climbed trees, played games outside, and made art. I entered my art into county fairs and other contests.
For college, I studied mechanical engineering at Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts, where I also worked as an engineer to pay for college. I am the first generation in my family to attend college. I hope to inspire my students to make their dreams come true by going to college!
I moved to California to study at San Francisco State University. Later, I fell in love with San José, so I attended San José State University for a teaching credential. When I am not teaching, I am painting murals and making clay art in San José. I share my art with my students to encourage them to express themselves through art.
