Dear Santee Families,

 

It's hard to believe the 2017-2018 year has already come to a close! I am so proud of the many great forward strides we've made this year, and look forward to the work that is to come. As we enter the 2018-2019 school year, we will begin the third year of our technology integration journey, made possible by Apple's ConnectED grant. In this phase, we will expand upon our work to provide more project-based learning opportunities to our students that emphasize relevance and what we can do to help support our community. Students will see themselves as active, self-directed learners and facilitate their own learning with the help of partnerships established with community organizations and local agencies.

 

During these next few weeks, please encourage your students to read and take the opportunity to visit our local public libraries. I hope you have a restful and fun summer and look forward to seeing you on the first day of school - Monday, August 20!
